Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is the unwanted sudden flow of electricity between two electrically charged objects. ESD can cause permanent damage to solid-state electronic components. The body and stand of the microscope are coated with a special static dissipative paint, eliminating harmful electrostatic discharges and making the microscopes suitable for all static-sensitive environments.

- Pillar (-P) & Rack & Pinion (-S): Ergonomic wide flat base, object clamps, Ø 100 mm transparent and black/white stage plates.
- Universal (-U) & Boom (-B): Ideal for large samples. Supplied without illumination (compatible with ring illuminators).
- All stands are coated with ESD safe static dissipative paint.
- Illumination: 3 W transmitted and incident LED illuminators with internal power supply (P and S stands only).
- ESD Protection: Body and stand coated with special static dissipative paint to prevent electrostatic discharge.
