iScope® for Materials Science (Polarization)
The iScope® polarization microscopes are equipped with specific objectives, incident illuminations, polarization, and compensation filters. This allows precise observation of materials like metals, plastics, minerals, glass, and chemicals, making it ideal for advanced geology and materials research.

Models
The iScope® polarization models are available in four configurations, accommodating transmitted illumination only (PLPOLi) or both reflected and transmitted illumination (PLPOLRi).

Specifications
Polarization models are supplied with EWF 10x/22 mm or EWF 10x/20 mm eyepieces. One eyepiece with crosshairs and one with crosshairs and micrometer reticle.
Binocular and trinocular Siedentopf type heads with 30° inclined tubes. Interpupillary distance 48-76 mm. Unique rotating system allows for ergonomic high/low positioning.
Revolving quadruple reversed nosepiece on ball bearings.
Infinity Corrected Plan strain-free objectives. All optics are anti-fungus treated.
• PLPOLi (Transmitted only): 5x, 10x, 20x, S40x. With 0.17mm cover glass correction.
• PLPOLRi (Reflected/Transmitted): 5x, 10x, 20x, S50x. No cover glass correction.
360° Rotating Ø 160 mm graduated stage with two object clamps. Optional 30 x 40 mm X-Y mechanical stage is available.
Height adjustable Abbe N.A. 1.25 condenser with iris diaphragm and 360° rotatable polarizer.
Coaxial coarse and fine adjustments, 200 graduations (1 μm precision). Total travel approx 24 mm. Adjustable rack stop.
Transmitted: Intensity adjustable 3 W Köhler NeoLED™ illumination.
Reflected (PLPOLRi models only): 50 W 12 V halogen epi-illumination, supplied with external power supply, polarizer, analyzer, and compensation filters.
Supplied with 360° rotatable analyzer and polarizer, built-in Bertrand lens, 1λ first red plate, 1/4λ retardation plate, and a quartz wedge.
The iCare Sensor switches off illumination when the user is away. The Cable Storage System (CSS) allows easy stowing of the power cable.
Supplied with power cord, dust cover, spare fuse, user manual, and tools. All packed in polystyrene boxes.
