The Delphi-X Observer™ for materials science is available in four models, with options for transmitted illumination and ergonomic tilting heads.

EYEPIECES

Super Wide field SWF 10x/25 mm, Ø 30 mm tubes. (Optional EWF 10x/22 mm eyepieces available).

HEAD

Standard Siedentopf trinocular with 30° inclined tubes. Interpupillary distance 47-78 mm. Optical path selector (100:0 / 80:20 / 0:100). Optional ergonomic 0-35° tilting trinocular head available.

NOSEPIECE

Revolving sextuple reversed nosepiece on ball-bearings with M25 objectives mounting threads and slot for an optional DIC prism.

INFINITY OPTICAL SYSTEM (IOS)

The IOS consists of Super wide field SFWF 10x/25 mm eyepieces, high numerical aperture 45 mm parafocal objectives, and a 200 mm focal length tube lens. This provides superior optical performance, high-contrast, and high-resolution images with improved chromatic aberration correction.

OBJECTIVES (45 MM PARFOCAL, M26 THREAD)

Infinity corrected Brightfield/Darkfield (BD) objectives. All optics are anti-fungus treated and anti-reflection coated.

Plan Semi-Apochromatic BD: 5x/0.15 (WD 20 mm), 10x/0.30 (WD 11 mm), 20x/0.45 (WD 3.1 mm)

Plan Apochromatic BD: 50x/0.80 (WD 1 mm), 100x/0.90 (WD 1 mm) (Optional)

STAGE

Large 215 x 170 mm stage with a 105 x 105 mm (X-Y) integrated right-handed mechanical stage. Options available for stage height adjustment.

FOCUSING

Coaxial coarse and fine adjustment (1 µm precision) with adjustable rack stop and friction control. Focusing knobs can be switched from left to right for user preference.

CONDENSER (FOR TRANSMITTED ILLUMINATION)

In-height adjustable long working distance N.A. 0.65 condenser (10.2 mm) with numerical aperture identification marks. (Only on models with transmitted illumination).

ILLUMINATION

Reflected: 100 W halogen Köhler illumination with internal 100-240V power supply. Equipped with field and aperture diaphragms, filter slots, polarizer, and analyzer. A rotating cassette allows for quick switching between darkfield and brightfield.

Transmitted (on -PLMRi models): 100 W halogen Köhler illumination with two push-in/push-out neutral density filters.

NOMARSKI DIC (OPTIONAL)

With the optional DIC module, height differences that are normally invisible in brightfield techniques can be visualized. These relief-like images are ideal for surface inspections of wafers, LCD screens, etc.

CARRYING GRIP & TOOLS

The carrying grip at the back ensures safe transportation, and an integrated tool holder makes sure the right tool is always available.
