Shipping & Returns

Shipping Information

Thank you for placing your order with We know you are excited to receive your order and we will keep you informed through out the delivery process. Many of our items are special imports and delivery can take 7 - 10 days so please be patient, you will receive your order usually within the time specified.

Due to their weight, the delivery of Microscopes could take about 7 days extra.

Please note that we offer at least a 6 months warranty on all imported items. The local agents are under no obligation to offer any warranty or other support on imported products. 

Please note Microscope warranty - very important. All microscope repairs under warranty will have to be shipped back to the manufacturer overseas. All shipping fees will be for the buyers expense. 


We are an internet based business and we do Not offer C.O.D. collections but collection can be arranged from our Midrand depot.

All deliveries are insured by default to the value of R10,000 with MDS Collivery couriers to door service. We are unable to offer higher insurance as this is the maximum they have to offer.

We do not ship with any Post Office service but we can ship to your nearest Postnet.

If you are on a farm or a remote location, you will need to supply a physical delivery address in the closest town to you.

Stethoscopes that require engraving may take longer to process and deliver.

Night Vision Gen 2/3 may require certain export licensing which could delay delivery. 

Delivery ETA on microscopes is 2-3 weeks due to the weight of the item.

Returns and Cancellations

Returns, Refunds and Repairs

You may return an order for any standard unopened item within 7 days of delivery. Engraved items and special orders can not be canceled or returned under any circumstance.

Special import items such as all brands of Microscopes, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and certain night vision have no local support as they have not been launched in South Africa and any refunds for returns will be less the return shipping fee to the USA or origin plus any applicable restocking fee charged by our suppliers.

All canceled and returned orders within 7 days have a restocking fee of 15% of the total price and the return shipping fee to the supplier.

Items returned after 7 days and up to 30 days will be accepted upon consideration on a case by case review only and will have a restocking fee of 30% as we can no longer resell these as new. Under no circumstance will we accept items for return after 30 days from delivery.

We do not accept cancellations due to delivery delays caused by courier delays, customs, weather. We will accept cancellations if the item is not in stock at the supplier.

Due to their weight, it may not be cost effective returning a microscope as the shipping back to the USA is extremely expensive. Please purchase any microscope with due diligence.


Any returns must be in the original sealed and unopened box.
Any opened boxes or items that appear to have been used will not be accepted for returns.

If your package arrives damaged you may refuse delivery at no cost to you. Please Contact us immediately if this happens. Do not sign or accept parcels that appear to be damaged. If you can, please take a photo of the parcel.

Shipping costs are not refundable.

Refund will be in the form of store credit.


Please contact us if you have a warranty issue.


All Microscopes are imported from the USA,   Buyers bear the cost of shipping and handling cost round trip for warranty services. Shipping costs to the USA and back can be in the excess of R5000.00 (2017 cost), please make note of this before purchasing your microscope. Warranty does not cover consumable accessories and parts such as bulbs.

Microscope warranty service times vary throughout the year, and are processed in a first come, first serve manner, when parts are available and in stock. Most repairs/replacements are done within 1-2 weeks from arrival, however, if there is a long line during the busy season, or if your parts need to be ordered from our manufacturer, processing times can be up to 6-8 weeks. We appreciate your patience and understand everyone has a critical need for their unit, and do everything we can to ensure that these requests are handled as quickly as possible.


We offer a refund on items not in stock or available for immediate despatch from our local or international suppliers. 
If an item arrives faulty out the box or has a manufacturer fault within 10 days of delivery we can arrange for a refund excluding the cost of returning the item to the supplier.

We do not offer refunds caused by delays or unforeseen circumstances or customs delays
Refunds can take up to 4 weeks to process if the item has to be returned to origin.

We do not issue refunds on returned orders due to "buyers remorse" or "buyers mistake". We will offer store credit for these returns, less restocking fees up to 30%.

Any returned items must be in the original box and in unused condition.

Warranty information on special imports

Special import items such as the AMSCOPE and OMAX microscopes, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and night vision gen 2+/3 have no local support and these items need to be sent back to the supplier overseas for any warranty issues. Round trip shipping fees involved in this is at your expense. We do not offer refunds on special imports.

Toys and drones have an out of the box working warranty only.
